At first, it seems like the mechanics of Snowrunner and Truck Mechanic Simulator have finally been combined, but don't jump to conclusions. Unlike the former, however, you actually have to drive a truck for significant distances, rather than trudge on foot. Unlike the latter, there's no money for any customizations at the start—you're off to earn money. There's a tutorial, and it almost perfectly teaches the game mechanics, including climbing a mountain with a winch. The hills in the game have some truly brutal angles, but the roads are well-trodden. One questionable point in the tutorial: some modes require you to right-click to exit—loading/unloading, etc. The main character also carries an anvil and a workbench (keys 1 and 2), though it's unclear why. However, after choosing the very first location, which required driving to a remote spot, I ended up in a ravine where a landslide occurred and the truck broke down. It turns out we're playing as a heroic hero who can easily lift not only an anvil or a workbench, but also enormous boulders. Then came the repair tutorial, which I couldn't quite figure out, but I did learn that the truck's rear wheel is bolted to the frame and not supported by the suspension. Perhaps this is just a gameplay convention, but the number of nuts I had to unscrew to find out if the rear wheel was in good condition seemed enormous. As a warning to drivers of South American ZILs, I recommend not enabling ray tracing—even with DLSS, the game manages to lag when loading locations, so before driving across large areas, you'll need to complete a quest with the game settings. But here the truck at least travels at about 50 km/h, which is about three times faster than in Snowrunner. I forgot to mention: in the game you have to walk, and a lot. There are no magic guns or winches; you have to hike up the mountain with a cable, attach it to a tree, get in the truck, lift it up with the cable, get out, unhook the cable, and so on. You have to get out of the truck constantly—for example, if a bridge breaks; in Snowrunner you'd have to go get building materials to see the magic of self-assembly. But since this isn't North America, everything is somehow simpler here—they lay down planks, which are thoughtfully carried attached to the side...

Installation procedure

Mount the image to a virtual drive.
