Luto Direct Download:
Luto is a psychological horror experience where you take on the role of someone unable to leave their home. Every attempt to escape will lead you deeper into the unknown, where nothing is as it seems and everything will test your senses. Once I saw it was available, it was an immediate purchase. I bought it because I wanted to see if it had been worth the wait. My god, it was. The graphics are damn near photorealistic. The atmospheric horror is there to enjoy. This is some expert level story telling and design. I love these types of indie horror titles. In some of my reviews, a few times, I’ve said something along the lines of “I wonder what one of these indie horror walking sims would be like given an actual budget and pushed it out from 45 mins to 4+ hours.” THIS is that game. Animal Shelter 2
The puzzles are difficult. But once you figure them out (or cheat, like me) you roll your eyes and realize it wasn’t that bad. It is also voiced, and is done very well. I’ve seen some complain about the narrator, but I like that feature. Luto is a surprisingly awesome psychological horror adventure game from a highly promising indie Studio. Two little anecdotes: you can watch the entire Night of the Living Dead movie in-game, and the Narrator can even take you out of the game (under certain circumstances).
